2026 Rate Card

Broadcast & Video Engineering Services

All rates are labor only unless otherwise noted.

Service Tiers

Technician / Operator

For execution-focused roles under direction (show ops, assist, hands-on support).

Hourly: $95–$125/hr
Day Rate (10 hrs): $950–$1,250
Additional hours: 1.5× hourly rate

Broadcast / Video Engineer

For system ownership, troubleshooting, signal integrity, and show-critical responsibility.

Hourly: $135–$175/hr
Day Rate (10 hrs): $1,350–$1,750
Additional hours: 1.5× hourly rate

Lead Engineer / EIC / Systems Architect

For design, integration, commissioning, high-risk shows, and "if this breaks, everything stops."

Hourly: $175–$250/hr
Day Rate (10 hrs): $1,750–$2,500
Additional hours: 1.5× hourly rate
Consulting / Design Only (non-show): billed hourly, 2-hour minimum

Time & Overtime Policies

  • Standard day: 10 consecutive hours on site
  • Overtime:
    • 1.5× after 10 hours
    • 2× after 14 hours
  • Minimum call:
    • 4 hours (local)
    • 1 full day (travel gigs)

Travel & Expenses

Travel is billed so the work remains sustainable and predictable.

Travel Time

  • Travel days: 50% of applicable day rate
  • Same-day travel + work: billed as a full day

Transportation

  • Airfare: comfort class or equivalent
  • Mileage: IRS standard mileage rate
  • Ground transportation, parking, tolls: billed at cost

Lodging & Meals

  • Lodging: hotel accommodations appropriate to location and work hours
  • Meals & incidentals: billed at cost or per diem (by agreement)

Equipment & Gear

  • Personal tools included
  • Specialized equipment, test gear, or rentals billed separately (quoted in advance)

Rush / Special Conditions

  • Short-notice bookings (<72 hours): +25%
  • Holidays: 2× standard rate
  • Extended engagements (5+ consecutive days): negotiable

Terms

  • Rates subject to annual review
  • Net-15 unless otherwise agreed
  • Invoice includes detailed time and scope summary
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may be billed up to 1 full day
